Christy-Anne is a Durban-based jeweller who studied Jewellery Design & Manufacture at the Durban University of Technology.
She draws inspiration from the diversity of her surroundings, and personal interests in pattern, texture, and the beauty of nature. Her work shows classical influence with a modern simplicity.
Christy-Anne’s silver jewellery is constantly evolving in design and aesthetic as a representation of the progression of life. It is often rich in texture and contrast, both visually and tangibly.
The concept behind the copper range is the beauty of something increasing over time (based on the ideas of natural patination). This is represented through the natural verdigris process of copper, resulting in an exquisite turquoise patina. The patina has been sealed, but will change as time goes on.
